To the man who rear-ended my car on I-95 Thursday morning:
The appropriate action to take in this situation is to PULL OVER to the shoulder, check on the passengers in the other car (my brother and I are FINE, by the way, thanks for NOT ASKING), assess the damage, and exchange insurance information. You are NOT supposed to DRIVE AWAY!! Hey, you know that $70 a month you're paying in car insurance? Is to cover the damage YOU caused to MY car! FUCKER. I hope that turkey dinner you were rushing off to was worth it.
Anyway, aside from that incident, I had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I ate way too much delicious food (mmm... stuffing!) and had a lovely visit with my family. The damage to my car isn't actually that bad, purely cosmetic damage to my back bumper. (The kahula chocolate cake I was bringing up may have suffered more damage than the car, but was still tasty.) My trip back down yesterday took almost EIGHT hours (ugh), but I am thankful I'm not driving back today with the worse traffic and weather.
How was your Thanksgiving?
OMG. So glad you are okay. I hope the a-hole got food poisoning.
What is the matter with people? Maybe he had let his insurance lapse and decided a hit and run was his best bet.
