Woosh!!!

(That was the sound of this week flying by... not to be confused with "Swoosh," the Nike symbol.)

(It's also the sound of this post, as it is pretty much me just rambling all over the place.)

It's Thursday? Already? Hot damn, how did that happen? I swear my family was all just hanging out at my house last night... that was four days ago? And the weekend begins in approximately 30 hours? AWESOME.

I love when weeks just fly by like that. Except that it's usually because I am swamped at work (like this week), which kinda sucks because then I am dealing with all these people running around like chickens with their heads cut off (which is decidedly different than "running around WITH chickens with their heads cut off," which is what I first typed... ew), and of course a million different deadlines all coming up at once. But it's also good because maybe, maybe, I'll actually be able to get an hours bonus this quarter. (I'm sure I just totally jinxed it by saying that and now June will be slower than molasses.)

I am so looking forward to this weekend and not having anything to do. I'm sure things will come up and plans will be made, but considering none have been made so far, it means there is nothing I have to absolutely commit to do. I'm not required or obligated to be anywhere or do anything. Anything I decide to do will be totally my choice... mine, mine, mine. It feels like forever since I've been able to say that.

(Not that I don't love having company, because I do! So to my friends out their reading this, please feel free to come visit anytime! TS would absolutely love to give you his "tour" of our apartment. I'll make cookies. It's just, you know, houseguests for three weekends in a row is a bit much, especially when two of those weekends are family.)

So, for this weekend, I am thinking... gym! Pedicure! Grocery shopping! Baseball game! Going outside to enjoy this beautiful weather! Finishing my book!

Crap. I just went and got my weekend all jam packed already, didn't I?
