Say your 30th birthday was coming up in a little less than a month and you were planning a trip to NYC for the weekend. Also say that you don't want to spend a gafrillion dollars, but you still want to stay in a decent hotel, eat some yummy food and have an awesome time. Where would you go and what would you do?
So far, plans include meeting some friends for dinner (location TBD) on Saturday night, then going out to meet up with another friend and his crew, who are also celebrating his birthday that weekend. I think I want to go to Top of the Rock and hopefully to a Broadway show. I'm looking for any recommendations for a cool museum/touristy thing to do, as well as good (and not crazy expensive) places to eat and get drinks -- brunch and dinner options. Anywhere in Manhattan is fine... I doubt we'll be venturing out to the other boroughs that weekend.
Also, I've been hearing really nice things about Company (a pizza place). Look at this: http://www.amateurgourmet.com/2010/02/cafesabarsky_companypizza_billysbakery.html#more

Oooh, I love Perilla (Harold Dieterle's restaurant).
